Lisa Marin grew up in South Africa, completing her University studies in Geographic Information Systems. Torn between Science and the Arts, Lisa satisfied both her interests working in her field, making maps, analysing spatial data and researching everything environmental along the way. She moved to the U.K. after her studies with her partner and now husband and travelled to various other countries. She has drawn on these experiences and her time in Ecuador for her first novel. ‘A Roar in Abuela’s Belly.’
Lisa immigrated to Australia in 2005 and now lives in Queensland with her husband and their two adorable children. (And many pets!) After attending a library lecture on Publishing and the Writing Industry, a feathered idea floated down in front of her and her notebook filled within a week – three book ideas and excitement to progress further.
Her second novel is underway.
